I’ve been in Kuwait for the past two weeks "yes that has caused a bit of creative constipation". I can’t believe what I see. It’s not that I’ve left Kuwait long ago, but I guess being in another country (even if it’s Egypt) adds a bit of perspective.
Some might find this a bit offensive. Others may find it comical. Some, like me, find it utterly frustrating and stupid!
What am I talking about?
Well,
Let’s start with the “attitude”!!!
Why it is that all the people I see in the street are “NFAISA”?
They all drive with their BOOZ on the steering wheel!
And just in case you’re smiling, they look at you like you’re a maniac!
You go to a restaurant, you find Kuwaiti couples sitting and eating without talking to each other!
Or,
One of them on the phone, and the other is glaring at you with that “what do you want” look!!!
When I go out with my friends, we are constantly the only table in the whole restaurant that crack up! It’s a sin to be happy it seems…
You pass someone with your car and they look at you like “how dare you pass me???”
Or, you less someone pass, and they give you a look that says "Yeah you better!"
I also noticed that teenagers seemed to have agreed on a secret code. They all keep their mouths constantly half open with that “DUUUUUUUH” look. Oh they even say “ALA” when they pick up the phone…. Not “ALO”
Last, but not least,
The 7alima boland attitude!!!!!!!!! It’s just too hot to tolerate that “I mean the weather is hot!”
With all that’s going on in the streets and restaurants, I forgot to comment on Tabtaba2y’s question on belly dancing lessons!
But then,
What can I say??????
